1. Produce some hypothetical MS Excel Data

  • Reference: OpenPyxl Tutorial
  • The easiest is on the far left, which is manually editing the MS Excel, but you can also produce it with Python by various methods.
  • You can use any one or all the methods. That is up to you.

3. Read and Graph the Analyzed MS Excel Data

  1. Take the file that your produced above in the example it is WesternBlot-Analyzed.xlsx.
  2. Run the Jupyter notebook (ipynb) or the python script (py) below

4. What to send me

  1. In step #1, change the numbers of Protein #1, Protein #2 and Protein #3 using the MS Excel file or the Jupyter notebooks or the python programs.
  2. Run your data through steps #2 and #3.
  3. Put MS Excel, Jupyter Notebooks, and Python files that you used for the individual steps into a folder labeled Assignment1
  4. Put the Trials Output and the Stats Output figure into an MS Word Document and put it into Assignment1
    • The following is the MS Word document used with the data above named Westernblot.docx.
  5. Zip compress the Assignment1 folder and email it to me.
