How to connect to the windows server

Remote Desktop on Mac

1. I do not use a Mac computer, so read through the instructions below and go through the following YouTube video.
   • You must be connected to the university VPN. If you are unsure how to do that, contact EITS. The IP address for the Windows server is 128.192.148.254. You will be sent a login and password by me through UGA SendFiles.
2. Go to "Starting Pheonix WinNonLin"

1. Get a login and password from me. I will send it to you through SendFiles.
2. Connect to the university VPN if you are off-campus.
3. Type "Remote Desktop Connection" in the Search Bar

4. Click "Remote Desktop Connection"

6. Put in your Student Number. I am demonstrating for Student1.

7. Click the button
   1. 
8. Put in your student password and check remember me.
   1.

10. Click the "Don't ask me again for connections to this computer" and Click
11. It will take a while to get set up in Windows. When it is finished, it will look like this:

Starting Pheonix WinNonLin

   1. This is the program that you will use.
2. When you first open up Phoenix WinNonLin, you will get the following dialog. If you are Student1, you will have everything set up for you.

3. At the command bar, go to Edit and then Preferences. It will look like the following:

4. Click the Licensing "+"
5. Select License Server Configuration
   1. 
6. Click the "Add" button
   1. 
7. Select License Management
   1.

9. If everything worked, it should say

10. Click the "OK" button in the dialog and
11. Then go to File and Exit to quit Pheonix WinNonLin
12. The next time you click: . You should see the . The orange dot indicates that WinNonLin is active.
